Conflict Management

Learning how to better handle conflict can enhance productivity and workplace harmony. Conflict exists everywhere, in both interpersonal and professional contexts. While it is impossible to avoid all conflicts, it is possible to prevent them from escalating and even to transform them into opportunities for learning, growth, change, and/or relationship building. Through group discussion and interactive exercises, participants will explore and practice basic conflict management skills and concepts.

Objectives:

  • Learn to see conflict as an opportunity for growth.
  • Explore the 5 approaches to conflict.
  • Gain skills to uncover the interests that underlie positions for more effective negotiating.
  • Practice a six-step model of collaborative problem-solving.
