Alan’s lived experience as a person in a black male body, born in the midwest in the late 80s, lends itself to a strong commitment to racial justice. Their approach to DEI work includes a core focus on dismantling anti-black racism through the lenses of non-violent communication, restorative justice, organizational, and personal development. They’re a committed and diligent life-long learner, especially interested in holistic wellness, positive psychology, and neuroscience. They believe anti-racism is deeply spiritual work that can be seriously gratifying for anyone bold enough to venture into the unknown parts of themselves, ready to work.
Alan enjoys running, riding a gravel bike, backpacking, meditation, mindfulness, cooking, and reading.
